Community Health & Safety

Our concern for our customer health and safety is not unfounded. There have been numerous appeals to our Government for legislation to be introduced requiring all local and imported board to meet the ANZ/AS standards for formaldehyde content levels. Currently, our Government does not consider this as an important issue. Industry associations such as FIAA monitor national particle board production and self regulation has proved successful within Australia.

All Australian Particleboard and Medium Density Fibreboard (MDF) are made to AS/NZS 1859.1 & 1859.2 and are well inside acceptable formaldehyde levels .
